A great tool for catching up on the sales that you may have missed while the product was out of stock!
How it Works:
A customer is browsing your store and comes across a product that they want, but it appears to be out of stock.
If the Product Quantity is "0" the button "Notify me when available" will be displayed on the Product categories list, Product details and Search results page and the "Add to cart" button will be hidden.
If the customer is not logged in to the site, when sends the request will be redirected to the authentication page. Once logged in, will be taken back to the product directly.
The customer submits the request by clicking on the "Notify me when available" button and gets an email with the details of the requested product.
Customers , once logged in, can see online what notifications they are waiting for!
The orders department also gets an email notification of the submitted request.
Admin can track the requests under Orders/View Back in stock requests. The page will show the request ID, the request Date, Customer Name (linked to the user details page), Requested product (linked to the product page) and Status to whether a stock update notification has been sent to the user or not. Admin also can delete individual or all requests.
Once the product quantity is updated an email will be sent automatically to the customer informing that the product is back in stock again and available for purchase. The email includes the request date, the product title and "View details" with a link to the product page.
